Why that sword is called 'foeburner' when its capacity for enchantment limits out at about 'sparkler' is anyones guess. My modded version gives it a capacity for enchantment that is somewhat above a typical Daedric weapon...it's still not in the range of other 'named' swords like Magebane.

Strangely enough that is the only modding of Morrowind I've done...while I'm running Oblivion with a whole slew of mods.

What really surprises me is that while the discussion of my modded sword has been going on no one has pointed out a 'glaring error' from my usual straight from the game writing. Right after I posted this entry I was driving and had that 'something's wrong' nagging feeling...went back in game later and verified my mistake...but got involved in this conversation and haven't corrected it yet. Two points to whoever mentions it first.Timhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886548486674205657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9584167.post-1149102047857916712006-05-31T12:00:00.000-07:002006-05-31T12:00:00.000-07:00I thought he had just made a new enchanted item in...I thought he had just made a new enchanted item ingame. I saw no reason for enchanters to stock this sword that is so special that it has its own name when it is (as you point out) just a weaker version of a plain old Dwemer claymore. So I raised the enchantment capacity quite a bit, figuring that would make sense out of enchanters stocking them.

The historical Foe-Burner story I made up, whole cloth. But you'll notice it mentions 'replicas'. The 'dessication' and 'mesh of conductive fibers' are my usual poetic effect descriptions for spells.

In pure game terms, the FoeShocker is a Foeburner (modified, obviously), with a ten second 'weakness to shock' of 33% and a 25 point shock damage cast on strike, powered by a golden saint soul. Hit somebody four times in ten seconds with it and it hurts...a lot.Timhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886548486674205657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9584167.post-1149018700724899302006-05-30T12:51:00.000-07:002006-05-30T12:51:00.000-07:00Tim..What is this Foeshocker..I do known that the ...Tim..
What is this Foeshocker..
I do known that the Foeburner has no fire or flame enchantment on it..
